Sundance II has an interesting history. It was originally built in the 1980s by the then-owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Clint Murchison Jr. He built it as a retreat for the Cowboys team members. After Murchison sold the team, it was a time share for a few years, and finally offered for sale as private homes in 1988.
Though each unit has its own private pool and spa, in the early years – even after it became a private HOA – there were two community pools. Those were taken out several years ago.
We've been able to gather pieces of memorabilia that show the complex in its early years. As we find more, we'll add it here.
